Indian chess prodigy Gukesh Dommaraju has made history by becoming the youngest undisputed World Chess Champion at the age of 18. He achieved this remarkable feat by defeating China’s Ding Liren in a closely contested match held in Singapore, concluding with a score of 7½–6½ after 14 games.

In January 2019, at just 12 years, 7 months, and 17 days old, he became the second-youngest Grandmaster in history at that time.
